Hi, guys
sometimes I worked large scale scene like Loby, Auditorium with some other Variation in one file
that is so hard because 3dsmax viewport is very slow.
I did think it might be many objects and meshs.
but. yesterday I tested things.
Many meshs, objects makes viewports to slow down. but if it is fine when hide.
default light, vray lights is same.
only corona light is slow down even it was hide. I did this at corona 12.1
there is 3000 corona light. How do i fix it? thanks guys!

I am not sure if we can do anything about it, since using thousands of Corona Lights isn't (pardon the pun) the brightest idea, but I have logged it for our devs to investigate.

Hi,

As Maru said, thousands of lights in a scene is not recommended.
In that case, what I would do is probably using a CoronaLightMtl for the light bulbs (make sure it does not emit light), and scatter few regular Corona Lights to light the scene.

Hi.
Yes. I will occasionally apply your ideas. Until this issue is resolved.
However, despite hiding the lighting in the viewport, the fact that the viewport performance is still dropping is a problem.
As someone who loves Corona Render, I hope this part gets fixed.
Thank you!

Hi.
I work in a connected space within a single file whenever possible. Sometimes, the size of the space I’m working on is as large as about 3,078 m². When adding a few more alternatives, it can require over a thousand lights. While it’s possible to replace some with a few Corona square lights, the feel is different from IES lighting, so I don’t prefer it. As someone who loves Corona rendering, I’d really appreciate it if the performance aspect could be improved. Thank you.

Just a note...

It'd be kinda neat to see the scene rendered (to get the feel of what's in play here).
