Hi at the moment corona motion blur only works on objects who move, rotate through space. However, if there is some vertex level movement (PLA), corona does not apply motion blur to it. Important to blur moving person for example. Are you planning to implement this feature?
-
oh yeah and Vray for C4D can do it. I guess should not be difficult to port it over.
-
I wouldn't make guesses on the ease of porting things - the two engines use very different code :) So even being able to have a look at the code in no way means it will necessarily be easy to port :)

I understand Tom, it is super duper important feature however to realistically blur moving figures
-
+1, would really like PLA motion blur :)

Yes, mesh vertex motion blur is necessary! This is essential for character animation.

Hi Tom,
so I have discovered that another two corona limitations, Vray for c4d has solved.
relative paths on proxies don't slow viewport down:

and changing paths on textures and other assets works well via Project Asset Inspector:

these are some crucial limitation that your colleagues in Sofia have solved. I am sure they can lend a helping hand. Perhaps you could surprise me and other users and slide it in v7 roadmap.

Well, that would be a question for the developers rather than me, on whether their solution can even carry across to our code or not :)
