I think the Pattern Modifier is a really useful feature. However, I tried to use it on a high poly 3D model and it rendered nothing.

Is there some limitations or requirements to the base object?

Using the latest daily build on a Mac with Ventura.

Shouldn't be, but we'd need an example, to at least see what the object looks like - does the same pattern work on a low poly object? If you reduce the poly count on the high poly object, does it work? Is the high poly object UV mapped correctly? Can you send in the scene, can be done privately if required (link in signature to open a ticket and scene can be attached).

Hi Ion,
Could you please provide a sample scene or screenshots?
Please consider that the base object must have UVW coordinates to distribute the pattern on the surface.
I hope this helps.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

This!

I only now had time to look into this. I came here to add more infos about the scene, but you already provided the solution.
The model is a high poly scan of a skull. I didn't realize that it's got no UVW tag on it. Thank you very much!  :)
