Title: Arttu's WIP
Post by: Arttu Koskela on 2014-01-16, 17:38:46
Hey guys! Here's my WIP thread for all the work done with Corona.

I started playing around with Corona some weeks ago and absolutely loving it. Makes it really easy just to focus on creating nice materials and lighting.
And that's exactly what I've been doing, currently I'm learning about creating realistic looking shaders and texture maps.

Actually both of these are for bigger interior visualization project I'm doing. All the studio shots are 30mins with i7 3770k machine, DoF from Corona.

Any feedback much appreciated!

Good texturing can make all the difference! Looking forward to see your full visualizations.

Here you go dude! Tension modifier is limiting the displacement to flat surfaces of the model. Ideally should have modelled these wrinkles but got lazy with it.

Those are some really nice material-tests! CouldĀ“nt tell if the table is real or not in these last two images. Would love to see a mat-screenshot of that too. Keep em coming :-)

Thanks Nupsi!
Here's the whiteWood material. As usual I'm using Tension Modifier combined with noise map to make the edges different color.
Also the textures are painted (from photos ofc) for this one so I had to use UDIMs. The brownWood material is pretty much the same, just more reflective and sharper reflections.

Hopefully can post something new soon and start working with the interior itself once I get free from commercial work. Also can't wait to get my hands to the daily build to try it out! 8)

The table is missing one detail that makes it look dull.

Definitely agree with that Tanakov! :) The edge of the table is rounded and sanded thought and I had hard time finding reference how would the wood pattern smoothly change from one to another.

Finally got started with the interior project, going for quite traditional and homy feel.

Looks like a british house? No matter how I try I'll never understand those small window openings and overall propotions :D But the render itself has a nice spacey feel.

I would take it easy with postprocessing :) Cold blue shadows do not really go that well with homy feel :)

Perkele that is a good rendering of the chair!

Why not share some materials @ http://coronamaterials.com/material-library/
