General- Fixed issue where Cosmos freezes 3ds Max if closed too quickly after start.
- Fixed issue where using "Camera physical size" with UHD/4K cache led to freeze.
- Fixed issue where using "Camera physical size" sometimes broke object picking from VFB.
- Fixed issue where CIE crashes after deleting Curves tone mapping operator with an opened editor.
- Fixed issue where creating a region during pre-rendering phases led to a crash.

General- Bucket rendering - improved decision when to revert to random pixel rendering based on render regions and rendering mask.
- Intel OIDN denoiser can now use the GPU for denoising - updated to version 2.0
- If a compatible GPU is found, the denoiser will automatically be switched to use it, otherwise we will fallback to the CPU
- Can be overridden in the devel/experimental rollout
- Nvidia driver version 522.06 or newer is required
- Support for AMD cards will be added in the future
- Added maxscript alias "excludeMode" for "occlusionFrom" in CoronaAO map to support older scripts.
- Lister - added "Make unique" action for instances
- Lister - added texmap editors to light and light material
Bugfixes- Fixed freeze occurring when parsing ForestPack scatter with objects that use animation mode.
- Fixed sampling for maps with ObjectXYZ mapping
New Scatter Features!- Added controls for altitude distribution limitation.
- Added Look At
Scatter- When converting scatter to geometry, the resulting geometry is automatically set to be visible in rendering.
- When instance is translated directly by the user, new instances no longer appear at its original location when collision avoidance is enabled.
- Fixed being able to select instances even though Edit Instances mode is disabled.
- Fixed rendering of instances with surface color map for surfaces whose diffuse maps use ObjectXYZ mapping.
- Improved scatter warning/error message texts.

General- Added option to set input color space of Corona Bitmap. Uses OCIO config selected in 3ds Max for automatic detection of bitmap input space and for transform between color spaces.
- Added new bump/normal map filtering options to Skin and Physical material. It has the following modes;
- 'None' Maps are not filtered - this gives the most accurate look, however it can lead to significantly increased noise/flickering
- 'Linear' - Normal/bump maps are filtered linearly as any other map. This may lead to changes in appearance when using different zoom or resolution.
- 'Roughness modulation' - default. The same as Linear, however the material roughness is modified in order to preserve appearance as much as possible when changing zoom/resolution.
- CIE CLI - Added "--batch" parameter for faster processing of multiple files. An updated script is attached to this thread
Bugfixes- Improved rendering speed of Triplanar texmap (up to 3x in extreme cases).
- Fixed rare crash which occurred when loading scene using the ForestPack plugin.
- Fixed issue where GRPC will crash when Cosmos service is not running.
New Scatter Features!- Added support for groups and hierarchies scattering.

General- Improved the opening time of scenes that contain CoronaVolumeGrid, CoronaProxy or CoronaFumeFxMod in Max 2024 and newer.
- Added option to Corona Convertor for switching normal filtering mode for all materials in the scene.
- Added global switch to system settings for default value of normal filtering mode for newly created materials.
- Further tweaking normal filtering mode roughness modulation.
Bugfixes- Significantly improved loading times of scenes (up to 3x).

Scatter- Scatter is now installed as an application plugin for 3ds Max 2022 and newer
- Scatter UI has been rearranged (note that removing RollupOrder.cfg from Max UI settings might be necessary for this change to take full effect. It can be found in: "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20XX - 64bit\ENU\en-US\UI\RollupOrder.cfg")
- Fixed incorrect spline distribution for the rest-pose frame, when "temporal consistency" is enabled

- Object Replacer: replaces the selected objects with the objects that were added to the table of replacing objects.
- Pivot Placer:
- Bounding Box: shifts the pivot of the selected objects via the modifying the offset of their axes.
- Point Selection: places the pivot of the selected object to the selected point on that object.
- Transform Randomizer: transforms the chosen objects based on their axes and variation range. Types of transformations are translation, rotation, and scaling.
- Scene Cleaner: cleans the scene from the options that are provided as checkboxes.
- Selection Randomizer: randomizes the selection, of the selected objects in the scene based on percentage/count of the selected objects.
- Added 200+ CoronaMaterialLibrary materials to Chaos Cosmos
General- Corona TileMap:
- Added tile rotation variation + horizontal/vertical offsets + random individual tile shrinking.
- Added gap distortion.
- Added gap blurring.
- Improved conversion of V-Ray metal materials to Corona Physical material when importing Cosmos assets.
- Lister - Added tracking of nested materials.
- Corona Material Library - Added note that it will be moved to Cosmos in the upcoming versions.
- Improved Corona TileMap UI.
Bugfixes- Fixed issue where two neighboring tiles at the center always had the same randomization in MappingRandomizer.
- Fixed issue where Intel GPU denoiser was creating a ghosting in interactive rendering.
- Fixed issue where UV offset spinners reset to 0 when clicking down arrow if they have a negative value.
- Lister - fixed inconsistency between 3ds Max and Lister labels in displacement mod.
- AO, RoundedEdges, CurvatureMap now work with MappingRandomizer.
- Fixed rare crash when loading pattern modifier with "Use pattern material" on in Max 2024.
- Fixed crash that occured when additional output of multiple output map was used as input of a scene object (e.g. Scatter)
- Fixed issue where Camera Physical Size did not work with Render selected (pixel mask).
- Fixed issue where Corona Camera physical size box was wrongly transformed in the Max viewport.
- Fixed Curves tone mapping operator slowing down the whole tone mapping UI.
- Fixed VFB history not showing B&G and not saving the enabled state of tone mapping.
- Fixed issue where lister was not synchronized when changing values from 3ds max UI.
- Fixed issue where albedo slider in the Corona Color Picker was not working properly.
- Fixed crash when creating toolbar button from MaxScript code.
Scatter- Added falloff control for the Altitude limitation.
- Added falloff control for Look At.
- Edge trimming now works for Corona proxies with non "Full mesh" display mode.
- Scatter Look At distance now uses scene units.

General- Color management:
- Added option to select input color space to Corona Color
- Added option to pick color in current rendering space to Corona color picker
- When working with the OCIO workflow in 3ds Max 2024
- Corona rendering space is overriden by the parameter set in the OCIO workflow settings
- Material tree is evaluated in the rendering space, instead of linear sRGB
- "Color Swatch", "Material Editor" and "Viewport Default" parameters in "Displays and Views" category in OCIO workflow settings are now used when rendering viewport/material editor or displaying color swatches
- Setup LightMix button in Multiple Environment Maps Setup dialog is greyed out when rendering is running.
Bugfixes- Fixed issue where VolumeGrid intersecting glass material led to artifacts.
- Fixed issue where MappingRandomizer/MultiMap options Polygon and Mesh Element did not work with displacement.
- Fixed rare NAN that could appear when using Caustic solver.
- Fixed issue where Corona Bitmap gamma radio button state lost when "browse images" dialog is reopened in 3ds Max 2024.
- Fixed issue with installer which installed OptiX in the wrong folder.
- Fixed issue where merged Corona proxies didn't load automatically.

Bugfixes- Fixed incorrect values when setting CoronaBitmap to ACEScg primaries.
- Fixed rare issue where the rendering could get stuck and consume large amounts of RAM.
- Fixed randomization issues in TileMap.
- Fixed crash when exporting scene which uses 3ds Max native maps that are unsupported in Corona Standalone.
- Fixed CoronaLight in versions of 3dsMax older than 2022 showing the mesh of the light in the viewport, even after setting its radius/width to 0.
- Fixed RGB, HSV, CMYK sliders in Color Picker.
- Fixed issue where roughness modulation did not work if the bump goes through rounded edges.
