Hi all!
Discovered an interesting thing, if the diffuse map to use a bitmap with obvious noise, the smoothing error occurs.
To avoid this, use "Summed Area" filter in the bitmap parameters.

The whole filtering in corona is somehow weird... I don't know maybe it's just me but it feels somehow wrong, I'm pretty busy right now so can't do a proper tests but image filtering, texture filtering and when it comes to bump mapping it's all just weird... Anyone experiencing some stuff like that compared to other renderers?? Or am I seeing stuff? :D LOL

i've read if you use the summed area filter your render time will double, so it's not a big deal.

My tests have shown, this is a wrong statement:

Summed area seems (to me ) to have a bigger impact on the REnderTime using Scanline and Mentalray, but the textures looks better.

The first thing i´ve learned using Corona is to put Blur texture filtering on ZERO and check summed Area. It solved all my problems with textures. I didn´t notice a great impact on render time... I am not sure.

spoiler alert: in time I'll implement my own bitmap texture with an optimized sampling/filtering, the max one is always slow.
