I confirm, i saw the same bug yesterday. It's not related to proxies since my scene has no proxies and  I got the same bug.

I didn't test it myself, but since Coronas Zdepth is not clamped (is getting negative below black) it seems that it's outputting an absolute value of the zdepth. Does it also happen with linear formats supporting negative colors (exr)?
Any sufficiently advanced bug is indistinguishable from a feature.

I just figured out that Zdepth is ignoring opacity maps.

Fixed by adding again the option to clip output to 0-1 range

But, by clipping the ZDepth, don't we lose the possibility to play in 16 or 32 floating point with ZDepth channel?

it depends, sometimes. The point it, max cannot handle negative values, so you dont have the option to not use it sometimes.
