I've run into this issue a lot doing product scenes. I typically blur the skyline similar to a DOF and then adjust the color values through corona color correct to get some vivid details to pop through so you can get some detail still through the blur. OR you could remove the glass in the windows if they aren't actually reflecting anything around in the scene. but that'll only work for still shots.

I'm absolutely loving the new corona materials, however I have something I want to discuss about them...

1.Has anyone else noticed that the displacement maps have to be inverted from the original material to work correctly?

2.Why is every metal set to 999 IOR? Its physically not correct and I have to adjust every metal to its real IOR value but shouldnt they be the true IOR by default?

I was running into this issue. but then the most recent update allows you to convert to a physical material instead of legacy.

how to:
Convert scene > Check convert corona legacy materials

Should be good to go!
transfers metals, textures, refractions, everything!

Have you tried removing the ambient occlusion and global illumination? you already have the sun and sky in the scene and shouldn't need them.

Since there is so much to implement, I would like to know, what do you want the most.

Everyone has multiple votes, so you cannot simply check everything ;). Choose wisely. I'll use the results as a guideline to what is needed the most.

They may already be a shortcut for this, but when resizing the curves popup window, is there any way make sure it remains square?

What corona window model are you using? I wasnt aware they had assets like that, unless you are using the c4d assets.

If this hasnt been suggested already... you can get a decent result by adding a diagonal gradient on the diffuse, reflection, and glossiness. Adjust the size and level of black/white in the gradient until your happy. I had a client that didnt like the look of a real mirror for product shots and loved the turn out.

do you have anytype of denoiser on? I use the corona high quality denoiser and it clears everything up.
