crazyhow3:
Hi guys
Binyan studios put out a scene in their application for a job in their office. While I do not plan on applying for the job, i decided to use the scene to practice on, and here are the results. All I did was set up lighting and apply materials. The camera was already set up.
I would love all critique, suggestions, and comments!
Thanks

Hi, that's interesting. Is this scene available for download somewhere?
crazyhow3:

Ah, thanks for letting me know, must have overlooked it. :)

I'm probably not qualified enough, but here is what strikes me most:
-the gaps/bevels between floor planks are too pronounced
-the concrete walls behind the window are just too concrete - maybe some kind of tree/ivy would help in there?
-the camera position is strange, and the objects are chaotic, making a messy composition in the center scattering all over the frame
-brick material on the kitchen wall looks plastic
-the things on the table could probably be smaller and more subtle
crazyhow3:
thank you!
the camera angle is what Binyan placed in the scene. but besides that, do you think adding some grunge to the concrete wall will help? also the brick wall in the kitchen is supposed to be porcelain tile, does it look to plasticy for that?
