So this is a rather artistic setup:
- Object A uses displacement, where displacement is driven by a Object B fed into a Distance Map

Crash when moving Object B while IR is running.

I have often noticed that moving or manipulating objects used in a Distance Map while IR is running take either very long time to update or cause Max to get unstable, unresponsive, or simply crash to desktop.

The problem is it will work fine sometimes, sometimes it'll crash. Just had a session where I could do change topology of a mesh used in a Distance Map for 30 minutes without a problem, then it suddenly crashes to desktop, even without IR running... I guess it crashed during material editor update or something. So I can't guarantee it'll crash for you even if it does for me. It's reproducible, but once in a while only, hence the minidump which I thought would be enough ;)
You have probably a lot on your desk but I'm pretty sure you'll see it yourself if you spend 10 minutes tweaking a mesh used in a Distance Map.

I had this happen yesterday way too often, will set up a repro scene and record a video maybe once I have time next week.
Did you look at the minidump, is it helpful?

Looks like the crash is in Corona, that's all I can tell, and I am afraid the devs are not available right now.
We'll need some further details. Scene would be perfect.
