Hey,

I wrote a script because we also had some issues with models from Archicad and Sketchup. Newer Max versions import those models with Physical materials.
The script itself is quite simple and converts materials of selected objects from Physical material to Corona Legacy Material.
This script may help you as well and is free for download on gumroad.

At the moment script supports:
Base color
Diffuse map
Multisub material

[Max] Feature Requests / Distributed rendering suggestion

I think it would be cool if it was possible to only render with slaves and have the VFB update on your main computer.

[Max] Feature Requests / Re: Improved behavior of IES lights

I did some testing because i was also interested in this matter. When using photometric light it uses the correct intensity.
And when setting the same intensity in Candela for Corolight everything seems very wrong.
If I conver the photometric light's intensity to Lumen and use that value in Coronalight as Lumen the difference is not that big but they are not the same.

Here is image of the ies photometric chart from IES Viewer which esures that the intensity should be around 54000 candela.

I not well experienced with Candela Lumen conversions so i can't check if the conversion that happens when changing photometric light  intensity type is correct.
PS. Also not sure if i used the wrong intensity from the start but the one I used was automatically picked when i chose my IES file for photometric light.

[Max] Resolved Bugs / Weird artifacts on Caustics pass.

I was trying out caustics yesterday and left a test image to render overnight. This morning after 1034 passes The image looks clean but in the caustic pass there is strange pixelated effect going on.
I attached couple of screenshots and passes from the render if that helps.

It is meant to be a reminder. We render quite large images so every time region is "forgotten" enabled we waste money and time.

Last week I wrote a macro script to check for regions when uploading to RebusFarm.
Feel free to use it.

Feel free to give feature requests or make the script better.

Hello,

I'm trying to write a script that alerts user about certain things (regions, image size, denoising etc.) when sending my Corona (3ds max) render to RebusFarm.
I've got it mostly working but the problem is I don't know how to trigger the script when "Render with RebusFarm" is clicked.
Have you guys ever tried to do something similar? Callback would probably be the best choice but I've not found an event that triggers when starting the Farminizer.
Since RebusFarm doesn't really have a forum, I don't know where else to post this.
