Maybe I'm missing something obvious but how can I get rid of bad edges when I want to render with direct visibility override image and dof enabled in camera?

Yes! You definitely got further with this than I did. Mapping the IOR to get more pronounced scratches was the missing piece for me.

Thanks for sharing your workflow and maps. I am going to steal them.

Hi guys,

What would be the best approach to mimic this kind of matte steel in corona? I guess it's called sand blasted steel finish?

Does the the basic metal approach of "0 diffuse, 1 reflection, 999 IOR and tweak the glossiness map until you're happy" still apply here? I couldn't get anywhere near the real life look. Maybe because I couldn't find a good texture for it.

Anyway, if there is someone with few minutes to show off his mad texturing skills, I would certainly appreciate some tips.

I am not seeing this in trello roadmap for v3, even though Ondra said this is priority a while back.

As a vfx guy this is the biggest feature I am missing right now.

Yep, the firmware fixed all the issues I had with it.

I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong with my new build. And only after week of troubleshooting everything they released this firmware fix. No issues after that.

I don't have any other complaints with this mobo, it has every possible feature I could ask for.

Do you happen to use MSI x399 motherboard?
I had this exact blackscreen issue with hardware intensive tasks.

Turns out MSI rushed the market with unstable product and only later updated the firmware to fix some major issues.
Once I downloaded the latest firmware the issues were gone.

If you use another board, you still might want to look into updating BIOS firmware.

Corona camera feature request for us VFX guys - add a small rollout with image plane creation tools.
I need it for set extensions and matchmoved cameras and also it's maybe useful for arch viz guys to match to photo reference?

Image should support alpha.

There are scripts, yes, but none of them support corona camera. And also AFAIK no other renderer has this built in. Corona can be first.
