[ARCHICAD] Bug Reporting / Re: Multipass problem
« on: 2020-03-05, 17:20:58 »
I've found another bug and nobody was complaining . Baking settings into the scene is not working so your settings from the light mix are not propagated into BEAUTY pass in the next render. I'll write here and close this thread once it's fixed.

Hi. I'm trying to reproduce the crash but I was not able to on my system and plugin version. Can you or someone else confirm this crash and can provide more detailed repro steps?

If the dice lands on its edge, I call both of the numbers winners :)

49
Thank you, everyone, for sharing your scenes with us. I will lock the thread now and will choose one 'winner'. We've got 5 entries, as a DND fan I will roll a dice where:

1) raffe3003
2) insightreid
3) liukperry
4) djkt
5) Javiermarin
6) roll again...

I will post the video I hope till end of the week. Good luck!

[ARCHICAD] Feature Requests / Re: Setup lightmix

Oh, I understand now. Yes, it should be possible to make this process more user friendly and this is definitely something we will improve in the future. ..

Rozky did a pretty good job in the post above. I will describe it with what you see there and how to setup light mix.

To make the Light Mix feature work, you need:
  • at least 1 light on scene
  • at least 1 LightSelect render element
  • LightMix render element
  • Forget on the Setup LightMix button on Corona rendering palette (it has no use)

    1) Create a light and keep it SELECTED! You will thank me in step 3...
    2) On the Corona rendering palette, there is a Render elements section on the bottom. Click Setup render elements, New and choose LightSelect render element.
    3) Keep the palette open, press New and add LightSelect render element.
Now you have to add your light, or group of lights into the light select list. Choosing the lights is not very user-friendly currently and this will be updated, but for now, you have to select your lights beforehand. If you make step 1, you should have 1 light selected. Within Shading/LighSelect element window you click Add and you should see that your light was added into list. The list should be not empty with an entry like 04DC4385-324E-A3CE-D57,... which is the id of the light in AC.
    4) You can close Render elements dialog. Click render. In the VFB window is tab called LightMix. Click and tweak your lights. You can also preview the effect if you switch BEAUTY to Shading/LightMix. You can find this on the top part of the VFB window.

    Notes:
  • You can add as many lights in the LightSelect element as you want. E.g. group all interior lamps of the same type in one render element for easy tweaking...
  • Select your light/lights on the scene before you start creating LightSelect render element

Please send the project so we can investigate it.

You may use our service called Private uploader. We provide this tool for users to upload their scenes so our developers can debug and resolve the subject more quickly.Follow this link to read more about private uploader: https://corona-renderer.com/upload

[ARCHICAD] Feature Requests / Re: Archicad 23

As you can see, there are many duplicities about this topic already. E.g. https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=27223.0 Closing this thread now.

Hello. I'm afraid I don't understand the question fully. We have Setup Lightmix button as you suggest. Please be more specific what's your issue. Thank you.

56
The pick functionality is not implemented either is on our roadmap for AC. I will register it as a feature request.

57
Don't know, definitely not intended :D It should be ok now...

I guess it's localized in my Swedish ArchiCAD. I attach a screen dump.

In some language localizations, the folder names are not translated. But they are in many languages. We are trying to get a response from Graphisoft, because it will be a pain to install all available localizations just to get Add-On folder names.
Often with diacritic and/or special characters. It's not possible to make all proper testing and support all languages, in dailies. All this will be sorted once the commercial version hit the market. Until then, the only officially supported version is INT. If you are lucky, it will work with your localization too (e.g. Swedish)...

59
Now I don't see corona plugin files in your add-on folder?

60

You have all the necessary files there. What are those folders? For me, it looks like you have 2 Add-Ons folders? Am I right? What is in these folders?

@maknu: We are officially supporting only INT version. Is your Add-On folder also localized?
