Title: How to use scene environment overrides ?
Post by: 3dkobi on 2019-03-24, 08:59:13
Hi guys,

I didn't find any documentation about this subject, and after doing some tests I still can't figure it out...
In Corona Scene environment settings - How to I use the override slots - What kind of materials should I put there ? Should I use mats with texture in the diffuse channel ? should I use hdri ? It seems that nothing works for me...

Hey,

I use those overrides quite often. Give me an example what you want to achieve, maybe I can help.
You feed those slots with materials and usually I use the selfillumination as I need direct visibility most of the time.
I never used the scene environment slot, never needed too.

Cheers...

Thanks for your replay,
I think something was wrong with my scene - I'll do some more tests tomorrow (I'm doing some simulations now). If the problems occurs again I'll post here

Hey 3dkobi, make sure to tick the little check box next to the scene overrides. The first time I messed with those, I couldn't get it to work then realized I didn't actually turn them on. Couldn't hurt to check.
