Hi

When I want to open Corona Cosmos browser in C4D R12.121 to load objects into the file I get an error message: Cannot open the Cosmos Browser, because the Cosmos Service is not running.
I am using Corona 12 Hotfix 1 and so far the Cosmos browser has always worked. The error occurred after I was asked at programme start whether I wanted to load an update of the Cosmos browser. I previously had an older version. An error may have occurred when updating. I then reinstalled Corona 12 Hotfix 1 - but the Cosmos browser still doesn't work and the same error message appears.

Can you please help me? Thank you very much, Katharina

If you're on Windows, you could try to search for 'Start Cosmos Browser' and then execute that program.
The error message suggests, that the service is not running. And this does the trick for me most of the time.

Don't know if Mac also has Services running. Probably there even is some similar program / app that you could try to search for and / or run?

Hello there,
Could you please try running one more time the Corona installer, but this time use the "Customise" option and make sure the "Chaos Cosmos" checkbox is enabled?
To learn more about the installation process, please visit the following link: https://docs.chaos.com/display/CRC4D/Installation+Process#macOS
I hope this helps.
Please let us know the outcome.

it happen me too on macOS some weeks ago. When you will prompted to update the Cosmos, you can find on the desktop the DMG mounted, you have to manually double click on it and start the installer.

Maybe due to a bug of the latest release of the cosmos the installer doesnt automatically start but the background daemon is stopped so you are not able to use cosmos.

Let me know
