I have switched to Blender and really like it. But there are two things I miss in C4D that are so big for me that I am now looking to turn back. They are Team Render and Corona Render.

So I have a couple of things that I want to discuss and see if there is a solution to them and I could not think of a better place to do that than here.

# UV
* Mark seam and unwrap (like in blender)
* Single out selected model (industry standard, 'shift + i' in Blender)

# Asset browser
Save Corona materials for later use
Save objects with applied corona materials

# Scattering solution that is in class with Scatter 5.

Thanks in advance,

Fredrik

"Single out selected model (industry standard, 'shift + i' in Blender)"

Is this not the same as 'Viewport Single Solo' in C4D?

^It is.
Almost all of stuff described, both apps support well and similarly same.

Basically, here's a curious mind that can only be satisfied by doing homework to come up with decision based on own biases & preferences...

PS
Maybe stick on both for a week more or so...
Sooner or later one prevails and decision is taken.

Thanks, I will look in to this. Have not found this by myself.

Thanks for your response. Do you have any suggestions for me? I have been looking myself, but can't find good answers for these points. I had allot more that I have solved, but not these. Thats why I am asking here.

I am working in the both at the moment, and it is a mess. C4D and Octane though.

Here's my take: if you want to work with agencies or in-house, learn Cinema 4d. If you want to be a freelancer or work for yourself, learn Blender.

There are plenty of exceptions to this, but that's my personal take. A lot of stuff is packed in the box for free or cheap with Blender compared to Cinema 4d. Eg x-particles or a good external renderer costs extra with c4d and those are must haves.

I personally use a XP-Pen Deco 01 V2 drawing pad , the tablet is just overall superior as in input device for both accuracy as well as long term use. Add pressure and angle sensitivity, and that alone makes it better than the mouse.
