...and you really expect that this feature will be inplement by a finger snap just because you need it right now and especially when you are unpolite?!

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Re: Node Editor Corona Shader
« on: 2019-11-13, 10:10:54 »
Hi, if you have only Corona Renderer as a plugin (or Render Engine) C4D doesn't create a group like this. But yeah its a bit annoying if you want a Corona Shader.

The difference is actually big (for me) beacuse I loose all the information/details in the dark areas which are very important. I don't think that I am the only one who is facing this problem. :(

Hi beanzvision,

no this function is not aktivated. I am wondering am I the only one who is hitting this issue? I would suggest to test it on your machine. The VFB looks right. But the Picture Viewer, the Viewport Rendering and the Saved file (8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit files) looks darker like there is different colour proifle or wrong gamma etc. I don't know what it is but its very very annoying. I hope you can help me. I want exactly the result of my VFB of Corona Renderer.

Thanks

Hi guys,

I am wondering if there is a solution for my problem.

As the topic says my Corona VFB shows a different result than the rendering in my Picture Viewer or when I render thrue my Viewport. It's in every scene or post-effects. They seem not to be the same. The Viewport and Picture Viewer give me a darker and more contrasty image in the shadows and dark areas. Even when I save the rendering as jpg (8-bit) or hdr/exr (32-bit). Something is weird and very annoying. I would like to have the result which I get from my Corona VFB.

Hopefully somebody can help me.

THX and see you!

Hey Olli,

thanks a lot dude. You are so right. I know exactly what you mean and thats true. Many models from Audi have a uv mapping which is crap. But on some surfaces I did some triplanar mapping and it doesn't look bad though. About the alcantara leather it might be too rough. I did a research for that and found many pictures and to be honest I made it my way. I like it when you can feel the roughness on this material (in real life).

Hey Roman,

thanks so much. My workflow isn't so complicated. I start my shading with a natural studio HDRI. After that I add/change some light sources. Mainly I use spotlights or disc lights with a directional value of 0.4-0.6 (when value 1 is 100%). Of course I use the Interactive Rendering for a better workflow. The most important part is to know where you want to go with your rendering. You need to know what's your goal at the end. Take some references and try to imitate or make it even better. I mostly try to avoid to work with include/exclude objects for lights. I learned a lot from car photography tutorials on YouTube. That is the best what you can do nowadays. I hope your question is answered quiet a bit.

Hello hello,

since Corona Renderer for Cinema 4D got some new features like the Viewport Rendering. Corona got many things we all are profiting from so it makes even more fun to play arround with the lighting and shading.

What do you guys think about this work?

Hey guys,

I tried with these two renders something new for me. The headlight of the Porsche 918 were the main focus and tried to achieve the maximum of realism with Corona for C4D. I though to achieve the maximum of realism the headlight should function and be lit as in real-life. So I figured out how this headlight works and how it should look like and what parts and LED's really produce light. In fact there are 16 LED's which have a Corona Light Material. On top of the car is just a rectangle light (as a plane) with a texture of a tubes as HDR. At the end I didnt spend that much in Photoshop so it was a little touch of grading. That's it.

I hope you like it and I would very much appreciate constructive feedback of you.

Thank you! Best, Vedat

Thanks for your feedback. I removed the pilars because I felt they were distracting.
