[C4D] I need help! / Mapping Randomizer rotating issue
« on: 2023-10-04, 11:12:32 »
Hello guys,

did one of you faced this following issue before? My Floor has a UVWRandomization aka Mapping Randomizer Shader in C4D with a Bitmap. The randomization switches rotation/positions in an animation where a camera flies through my scene. There is no keyframe in the material tag or in the UVWRandomization shader besides the camera movement. For this issue I had to rerender the Floor and takes 19 h because the rotation is visible on 3 areas in the timeline. Maybe one of you can explain. Or is it just a bug?

Any constructive feedback would help. Thank you!

Hello guys,

I just wanted to give you my quick feedback about this and some features in Corona Renderer:

I am a long-time user of Corona Renderer, and I would like to share some constructive feedback aimed at enhancing the user experience.

I understand Corona's commitment to a physically-based approach, and I appreciate its uniqueness. However, I find that offering more flexibility, akin to other renderers like V-Ray, would be highly beneficial. Specifically, having the option to disable certain features or effects, such as refractive and reflection caustics, would empower artists to achieve varied creative demands more efficiently.

The separation of reflection and specularity is another critical feature that, at times, necessitates the use of alternate renderers to meet specific project requirements. It would be invaluable to have such flexibility within Corona to better align the renderer with diverse creative visions from the inception of projects.

While I have observed and appreciated numerous feature enhancements, I’ve also noticed a slowdown in rendering times, even for relatively simple scenes, on powerful workstations. Addressing this would greatly enhance the overall user experience and efficiency.

I hope my suggestions are seen as constructive input from a dedicated and appreciative user. I’m eager to see Corona Renderer evolve to meet the growing needs of the 3D artist community and look forward to continued advancements.

Thank you for considering my feedback. I remain a loyal user and am excited to witness future developments.

Warm regards,
Vedat

Hey guys,

I wanted to show you my last animation I did with an Audi Q4 e-tron. Have a look and tell me your opinion

I rendered the animtion on only one machine and had frame times about 25-30 minutes. I had a few issues and due the rendering time I did not had the luck to fix these. The main problem was the highlight flickering which is really annoying.
So you are forced to render the frames much longer. At the end I am happy with the result and I hope you find a few words to give some feedback.

Since the file size was bigger than 15mb I could not upload it in this thread.

Check the screenshots from the video!

Hey guys,

I am very proud to show you my new project with Cinema 4D and Corona Renderer v7.x for Bugatti's new Chiron Super Sport.

Tell me what you think. I appreciate it. Thank you!

I do not model cars. The client provides the data.

Hello guys,

here I have a full cgi shot of the Porsche 911 Turbo S in a factory hall with some spotlights and a flashlight.

The goal was to achieve a very realistic look without much photoshop work or any other tricks. the trick here was the simple lighting setup and accurate shading of all materials which I used in the scene.

Also you can check the project and Behance: https://www.behance.net/gallery/113113721/Porsche-911-Turbo-S-FULL-CGI

Any suggestions, feedback and comments are welcome!

very nice renderings there. I love the lighting and how you formed the shape with the lights. The shading is almost perfect. Keep going!

Hi guys,

again I want to share with you some work I did for fun and it came out really good I think. Please let me know what your thoughts are.

Ok Got it! Thanks for that.

I thought there are some implementations of the new Core or features which is used in the v6 of Corona in 3DS Max. Because at the moment its nearly impossible to work with a cad model of a car manufacturer which is almost 2.5gb big in the Interactive Rendering Mode. When I am working in Cinema 4D and the Interactive Renderer the changes I make in the materials or just the selection of an object in the viewport or Object Manager is very very slow. It often even crashes. In additon the speed of changing for example the camera angle and editing the Materials takes quit long IMO. Its a completely different workflow in 3DS Max and Corona than in C4D and Corona, unfortuanetly. Still. I really hope it will improve in the future. Sometimes I have to wait for 20 sec each time I select something. And that is quit annoying tbh. Please note I only mean the workflow with the Interactive Renderer and not the render speed on both sides. My machine has a quit good equipment I can say: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX with 128GB of RAM and a M.2 SSD and Windows 10 Pro is running. Maybe my question is in the wrong thread here if so you can remove or replace it. One thing not to forget: I am not complaining its just my opinion what can be impoved from my point of view because I am one of the users who uses Corona Renderer for EVERYTHING. It went that far that I have kicked every other Render Engine out of my pipeline. Thank you for this amazing product. Its my second life love.

Cheers!

Hi @Corona Team!

Thanks first for the first release of the v6 - finally! BUT what is different to the last v5 of Corona? What are the "new features"?

Thanks so much!

I alos played a bit with some settings in the VFB and figured out that when I change the contrast value from "1" for example to "1.001" or negative "-0,999" there shoud not be a big difference in the rendering but then I get the same "dark image" as in the Picture Viewer I told you about. The tonemapping is the problem I geuess. :( but I love the tonemapping settings :)

Maybe this helps.
