Corona Image Editor crashes since "years" on all my machines, namely whenever you are finished editing an CXR image and open a new one to edit.
Then the application will crash sooner or later. So I always close the application and restart it, before working on a new CXR file.

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Mac Studio Experience?
« on: 2022-05-15, 14:20:18 »
I just completed the Corona benchmark test.
There it shows that my Mac Studio Ultra with 128gB is the fastest Mac so far.

But slow compared to much cheaper Windows PC's of even years back.

Are you sure Corona Benchmark is running natively on M1?
I would guess it is running under Rosetta.

[C4D] I need help! / Texture turns black when stacked
« on: 2022-03-26, 21:18:20 »
When I ad a second texture on top of a material, the material below turns black.
Also it seems not possible to show multiple graphics next to each other.

Here how it should look (with C4D materials) vs. how it looks with Corona materials:

Any solution for this behaviour? It's nearly impossible to create graphical jobs this way.

[C4D] Bug Reporting / NaN in every single project
« on: 2022-01-25, 14:40:34 »
Meanwhile I get those NaN errors in every single new project. As soon as the project becomes a bit more complex, the error will show up.
It's so annoying. Every now and then I find out what it is. Mostly a geometry that corona doesn't like.
At the moment I'm lost once again.
Definitely something that I never had in earlier Corona versions.

I am using the same Corona version. I think it must be a problem with moving the project from Cinema R25 to earlier version R19.

I had the same problem after testing a scene in R25 and then open it in R20 again.
After replacing the sky and sun and a C4D material it seems to work now.

Hello Bosko

I love Grass Kit and use it very often. The only problem I have is that you never answer to any support requests.
Not by email, not in forums, not in Youtube. It's impossible to get in contact with you.
I once had to buy GrassKit twice within 1 day because I first downloaded a wrong version and you never answered my request to change the version number. Now my last unanswered question was, if you plan to update GrassKit to work with Cinema R25...
No offense, but a minimum level of support would be nice. It's not a free tool after all.

Would still be a nice feature. The current implementation makes DOF nearly unusable for architectural visualizations with a background image.

Ok, i did upload a scene where I could provoke the artifacts. It's enough to have an "active" C4D background object in the scene (without any material applied) As soon as I deactivate or delete the background object, the artifacts are gone.

The "official" way to do it is probably via Scene environment. Create a Corona material with your jpg image and drag it into the required field.
Or you can create a Cinema 4D material and drag it to a background object. (although I got some render errors with this method lately)
I still use the C4D method to see the image in the viewport.

Unfortunately, the problem disappears as soon as I simplify the scene. It seems to depend on the complexity of the project.

Ok I think I got it.
The problem is the Cinema 4D background object. I usually use this for my background image, because it's easier to setup than the Corona scene environment. When I deactivate it, the artifacts are gone.

I very often get such annoying artifacts in my architecture visualizations:

This never happened with older versions. I would say it started with V6, but I'm not sure.
I tried to rebuild this part, or changed the lighting, but this only changes the look and does not solve the problem.
Troubleshooting is also not easy, as the artifacts also change depending on the resolution or if I only use region-rendering of this part.

Any ideas?

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Avoiding Sky Pinching

That's a strange behavior. What kind of HDR are you using? Did you try another one? Is the projection spheric?
You can also deactivate "visible in reflections" and use another sky just for the reflections.
