Title: Interior C4D
Post by: minimaldesign - Blaž on 2015-04-20, 08:42:02
Hi all!

I do not know why and how, but far the best/fast/noice free settings for (pain in the ass/small windows, curtains, dark matt color,...) interior is:
Gi/AA 64 - MSI 5 - LSM 5
Bucket: initial pass 32, render pass 2

Can you post an example with the respective render time?

here you go (one of the test render)...render time was 1h to max 2h/image...I know that the settings are very, very wrong ... but corona do the job with this settings on this project.
That's all I can post for now due the contract with client
p.s. Kitchen test render was stopped oafter first pass...

Thanks for sharing the test renders. They really look very clean indeed!
I'm definitely try these render settings and see it works out for my scenes too!

I tested your settings on an interior scene which was previously rendered with PT+UHD and I noticed a decrease in reflections and lighting accuracy and the scene got generally darker. Can you confirm this on your scenes as well?
By the way, are you lighting this scene with HDRI or Corona Sky?

Yes, it becomes a little darker beacous of MSI 5.
I used Corona sky + sun + area light.

Thanks Blaz, the use of the area light might be helping a lot on getting rid of the noise.
