Corona 12 Crash

Unfortunately this version (12) has totalled my 3dsmax 2024 -UI crashes every time on startup. What gives?

Sorry to hear that. Does 3ds Max load and then crash or it does not load at all?

In such cases, doing a ENU reset is a known possible solution:

It loads and then crashes. I've gone back to Corona 11 and it's fine now.

I think my problem is very similar or with a common cause: every time I want to reset my Max window, it crashes in the same way.

Hi,

I also had a crash (still have the minidump) when using it for the first time. I think what I did was just deleting the SystemSettings config file(s) of Corona. So maybe try to delete (make backup if you like) all files in

ENU\en-US\plugcfg\corona

yup this is happening to me also.
some scene files are ok others it crashes exactly as per your screenshot.
always during render time.

Yeah I've wasted an entire afternoon now stripping everything out and reinstalling and I'm still getting this UI crash -new gpu driver everything. I'm beyond disappointed.

I experienced kong delays using IR. Also when loading corona tile in the SM 3ds max crashed. Have to reinstall corona 11 agian

Nope. Resetting max didn't solve the problem. I've done a bunch of troubleshooting, which included doing a clean install of Max and removing all related folders (including those in registry)
Updated system bios and graphics card drivers to the latest.
Installed corona 12 only without other plugins. And max just shows an application error window on launch and crashes.
The first crash report I got after all these steps points to CoronaUi_Release.dll
Subsequent crashes just pointed to 3dsmax.
Max version is 2024.2.1

Did you submit the crash report, I haven't gotten to doing this yet cos I've been busy, hopefully, hotfix 1 fixes everything.
