Hi Guys,
So I'm rendering multichannel EXR's and I have a problem with render elements, sometimes they are corrupted, if I bring the file to Nuke or Fusion, the render elements are just broken,
see attached file, any help will be appreciated,
Thanks

I had some weird passes on my last project, it was 3dsmax that had chosen "Integer (32 bit)" on some of the passes. Might not be the problem you are facing.
-
32bit integer is bugged in 3dsmax, it saves badly also with other renderers.
dubcat: what build are you trying? There were some bugfixes in 1.1

I just changed it back to "Full Float" as i wanted, was 1 month ago or so. I just mentioned it in case 3dsmax had changed his passes over to ""Integer" :)

Hi Ondra, Im using 16bit Half Float, the only solution I found that works I need to add elements manually, I cant use the option of "automatically add render elements".
-
I got black render elements or no render elemments at all somethimes (very random behavior)
And i got one scene (exr) were the diffuse is from the camera i was rendering and the elements are from the previous render :(

..it seems pretty random. The manually added RE didn't worked for me. Some day merging into a fresh scene worked.
In a other case not.
@daniel266 ... you're using nuke? that sounds like an nuke-update-problem.... I experienced something similar. nuke was showing me the last render, although
the file was overwritten.

Not Nuke, that exr is directly from corona
Im using PS

Hello everyone! first post! I believe I've found the issue!
Have you guys tried editing the output settings on the render elements themselves? I noticed that a scene I was rendering a sequence in that was originally set to .TIF as the image output and was changed to .PNG, had a .PNG native pass from Max but the Render Elements themselves were still .TIF.
When looking at a sequence that had .PNG set originally as the image output, none of the PNG configuration settings were set for the render elements; in fact the only thing that was ticked was interlaced. Sorting the config for each individual render element fixed this issue on my end.
I imagine this will be the same for other image formats with the same issue.
Hope this Helps! :)
