I had an instance where I was unable to use the render environment overrride - working with a 3rd party plugin.

Figured I could add a ray switch to env slot and pipe nothing into direct to make the sky black. For some reason the global illumination was overriding the direct.

Specs: AMD 1950X, Aorus Gaming 7 x399, 64GB RAM, 1080ti. Win10, Max 2017, Corona 1.7.3

Your report is a bit enigmatic. Can you explain what exactly did you want to achieve? Set directly visible environment color to black?
What "3rd party plugin" do you mean?

I don't think the rayswitch material/map should be ever used with environment. It is usable only with materials. To override direct visibility/reflections/refractions of environment, use the built in controls in Render Setup > Scene.

Hi sorry, yes reading back it was a bit cryptic - I was trying to work around Corona not being fully implemented in Vexus. But it's been implemented now so all good - so I can handle different HDRI/sky and visibility overrides per pass in the render settings.
