Can any of the developers share if Hair and X particles will be supported in time for Corona C4D official release?

These are must have features for Corona to be competitive with other engines on the market.

I wholeheartedly agree with Shawn. Trying to work with large amounts of grass in my scene is quite difficult having to deal with the actual geometry. I know ya’ll probably have a ton on your plate already. Hoping it is supported sooner rather than later :P

I know hair is on the "roadmap" but I was hoping for a bit more insight on if there are plans to support even basic X-Particles support...

Can't wait for Hair and the new Skin shader to be implemented!

I have to say that there are no such plans right now. But that doesn't mean we won't support X-Particles in the end! It seems to me that a lot of people are using that plugin, so it would be great to support it.

That's exactly what you wanted, right?

About x-particles. I've tried it in the past a few years ago, so I might not be familiar with the latest features.
However, the old version and pretty much any particle sim has the option to convert to thinking particles. I've seen that the newer versions of XP have their own fire/smoke sims.
When the support for heterogeneous media/VDB comes, that should be no problem at all, even if there's no real support for XP then. Converting to VDB should be possible I think.

edit: just saw that navie effex for r16+ is out for free now: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1745993692142347&id=105576809517385

Hardhat Harry should become the CRN4C4D mascot!

I demand all tutorials and help sites concerning the hair material, as soon as it's available, to have a hare or rabbit as an example.

The ONLY example!
