I tried Max2016+Corona 1.6.1 and a fresh Max2018+1.6.1, tried every option (local/UNC/other-than-C-drive). It just does not save out a single map. Rendering is ok even for multiple objects but obviously no save happens.

I´ve found a few old Mantis entries (and Romullus having the same issue once) but they do not really help. What do I miss? When switching to MR with the same setup everything works fine.

Thanks and
Good Luck

do you get error message? there should be now one. usually it is a problem with path prefix for saving which is different from regular rendering and is somewhere in the bake dialog

No error/error message except assets from the shell material having the old map in the diffuse slot. And even when I point everything (regular render output and that prefix you mentioned in RTT "General Settings") to a simple "C:\temp\" nothing at all is saved.) I get a happy cVFB rendering the map but no file.

I figured it out. After inspecting older scenes which surprisingly worked, I found out that it's somehow connected to the render settings.

And Corona seems to need something that does not has to be activated when using other renderers for baking: It´s the "Element Active" checkbox of "Render Elements". Holy teapot - what a nasty trap... Couldn't this be activated silently/internal somehow? At least some error message would be handy here. Baking just fails silently to save files if that checkbox is off.

Isn't it bug by Autodesk? Maybe we should move this to their forum? :]

Still there are no files saved using Backburner:

And DR does not work either:
