[C4D] I need help! / [solved] M1 - MacBook Pro - Licensing Issues

Hi,

Has anybody else experienced a licensing issue on the M1 Macbook Pro? After installation of C4D (latest release) and Chaos/Corona (latest release), the system shows as no license is available. It worked the first time I installed the software, but after restarting the Mac, the license was no longer recognised and it does not allow me to activate the licence.

This also happened on my old Mac Pro Desktop and the Chaos team had to change some functions through the terminal window to fix the issue. I already logged a call 3 days ago and no response from the Chaos team yet. (Job number #143453).

[C4D] Daily Builds / Corona 10 - CRASHES A LOT

It seems that the latest release of Corona 10 is crashing/freezing a lot more than the previous release. When I stop the interactive renderer, the window freezes and I am forced to force-shut-down Cinema 4D as it is no longer responding. I tried 4 different scenes and I can confirm that the problem persists.

Also, I am using a very simple scene containing 1 item and an HDRI ski.

I am using a MAC Pro Desktop 2013 (the trashcan).

 Dear Chaos and Corona Teams,

I have no idea what you guys did to the newly released Corona 10 Daily Release, but IT IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!! Especially the Chaos Scattering function. I truly tried to see if C4D would crash and it is proper solid.

I added 500 random trees from the Chaos browser on a 200cm sphere and it behaved exactly as expected!!!!! Super fast interface, fast adjustment response and rendered Excellent! This was not as fast in the previous release!!!

[C4D] Daily Builds / NO MATERIAL PREVIEW AVAILABLE

I am sure someone already raised this issue in the past, but here it is once small.

When I use a Chaos Material, I sometimes make small adjustments to it and wish to save it for future use so that I do not have to always make the same changes. However, for some reason I cannot see the material preview as it appears black in my browser. I attached an image that shows this.

Is there a fix for this?

[C4D] Daily Builds / CHAOS COSMOS - NO LONGER WORKS WHEN UPGRADING

Hi Chaos Team,

Once again I am coming back with the same issue. Every time I try to upgrade to the latest Chaos Cosmos browser, the browser crashes. This has been a persistent issue for me for a very long time. The only way to fix this issue is via setting up a number of steps via "terminal". I could never do it myself as it involves very technical steps. This issue has even been solved when one of your tech teams logged into my Mac remotely.

If it helps you, the last time I was informed by one of your tech team members who fixed my mac remotely mentioned that a file was missing from within the browser's setup file and this had to be added manually to my mac through terminal.

I will wait until tomorrow to get one of your team members to log into my mac once again.

P.S. Uninstalling and resinstalling of the entire Chosmos Excho system DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE.

[C4D] Daily Builds / Corona - Light Artefact Issues

Hi everyone,

Been doing a test render using this scene and it seems that I am getting these wired light patches/artefacts on all my renders! Is anyone else experiencing this or know why this is happening? They only show on the final render using CORONA VFB window and not within C4D render window!

[C4D] Daily Builds / What is the Corona Equivalent of the "Arnold - SHUFFLE NODE"

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me what the equivalent is of "SHUFFLE" in Corona renderer for cinema 4d? I am trying to build layered material using 4 different colours. Also, I am using a "PATTERN DESIGN" and I want those 4 colours to reference each pattern on my fabric. For reference, please see the attached designed pattern. Each of these patterns/shapes should contain a different colour.

In Arnold Renderer, you can use the "SHUFFLE NODE" that allows you to use a reference map (as attached) to change the colours of those patterns. This reference image is plugged into a shuffle note, followed by plugging it into a layered material node, which is then plugged into your texture node.

Any help or guidance is much appreciated.

[C4D] Daily Builds / Corona Material "PREVIEW" is Black

Hi,

I downloaded a wood material from your amazing wood collection and made some small changes to it. As such I tried to save it to my library for future use, however, the preview of the material does not render and is black (image attached). I am using the latest version of Corona 10, on Mac Ventura and Corona Renderer is selected as a render engine. Dragging the Chaos material into my personal folder is black, as the icon on the right illustrates.

Can you assist me and explain how I might fix this issue? I logged this issue with your tech team.

[C4D] Daily Builds / Licensing Issue Lives On (Mac - Ventura 13.1)

Hi Chaos team,

After I got prompted by the Chaos Browser to update to the latest version/updates, the browser is no longer working on my mac. The only way to fix this issue is to completely uninstall Chaos and Corona. If you only uninstall Chaos, upon relaunching C4D you will realise that the broser is working but you will not be able to render as the license will have an issue too as a result of updating.

As such, I uninstalled the entire Chaos/Corona from my machine, but the licensing issue still stands and no matter what we do, this does not work. We tried all avenues.

Screenshoots attached. Chaos team, I logged this issue with your help desk already!

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Cosmos Keeps Refreshing - On MAC

Hi Cosmos Team,

It seems that the Cosmos interface has a new issue. I am once again on my Mac. The issue appears to be that every 10-15 seconds the Chaos Cosmos Interface automatically keeps refreshing itself as if it is trying to reconnect to its server. For example, say I've clicked on the "Materials" category or on an asset category, the window should remain static and still. Well in my case it automatically refreshes itself and goes back to the top of the home page. I uninstalled the browser and reinstalled it, but the issue persists.

FYI I am using Corona 10 which is probably why it has this issue. Does anyone else experience this?

[C4D] Daily Builds / FIX THE CHAOS MAC ISSUES PLEASE

It's been 1 month since I am not able to use the Chaos and Corona service as a paying customer. I had the Corona tech team log in to my mac remotely and the issue of not being able to connect to the license server or use any of the tools is still an issue.

These issues need to be fixed before spending any more time making pretty materials or 3D assets. You need to get the basics right so we can actually log in first.

We followed every instruction on your website on troubleshooting, we had your tech team log into our computer remotely and when the mac restarted it all went to hell again. I want my license to be reset to 365 days I renewed it a month ago and have not been able to use the tools.

[C4D] Daily Builds / Cosmos - Plugin Needs "DOWNLOAD ALL" Button

Hi Corona/Chaos Development Team

After using the Corona/Chaos Plugin I realised that this needs a "DOWNLOAD ALL BUTTON". At Oxocan we love the variety of materials and 3D models offered however, it is time-consuming to click on each material/asset to download it.

May I recommend that future releases include a "Download All" button for each category? I would go as far as creating this command on the Home Page.

You might be thinking well, "what happens if we are releasing new assets? Would you want to download the entire library again"? I would argue that "already downloaded assets" should not require re-downloading.

[C4D] Daily Builds / GOBO LIGHTS

Hi Chaos Team,

As we are waiting for Corona 8 / Cinema 4D 2023 to be updated, I was curious if Corona had any intentions of introducing a user-friendly GOBO system for the lights.

All other render engines have this feature, I thought it would be a good idea that Corona had it too.
