Hi, thanks for the file. I have rendered both and am not seeing much of a difference at all. I removed your pass and noise limits and just set both to render for 5mins each.

Hi there, currently OCIO is not supported with Corona. We are aware of it and may look into it for a future build. ACES OT can be thought of as a kind of ''LUT'' or ''colour correction''. Your internal colour space can also be change if need be in the ''Development/Experimental stuff'' settings.

[C4D] Daily Builds / Camera Inside Volumes Playground!

A new feature added now allows you to place a camera inside volumes which is included in our Chaos Corona 10 for Cinema 4D daily build!

Add volumetrics to your scene such as smoke, fire, water, clouds etc in the form of a .vdb file (fire/smoke), or just an object using a Corona Volume Material (smoke/fog) or Corona Physical Material with refraction and some volumetric effects enabled (water/other liquids/glass). You can then place your camera inside the volume and it will render fine.
Optionally, you can enable ''Camera Physical Size'' in the Corona camera. This lets you place your camera at the border of two or more volumes and see the volumetric effects as expected (an example of this is partially submerging a camera so that you can see what is outside of the water and underwater).

Go ahead and share your results here. These are some of ours ;)

Do you have caustics enabled in both the material and also in the render settings under the performance tab? Can you share a test scene that we can look at? I'll supply a test scene as well.

Hi there, can you share some examples with us? This example scene took 15 passes at around 7mins and cleaned up nicely. The light source was just the sun and sky.

Hi there, the scene converter has been somewhat experimental since it's release and to my knowledge, it would be easier to convert/recreate them manually than using it. It does indeed need some lovin'

Raise them off the ground ever so slightly. They are most likely intersecting with the ground plane. ;) Maybe add some caustics for the hell of it? :D

There's no crash report - it just freezes forcing me to 'hard' quit.
I render to PV as I want to save out a layered 16bit file, which is impossible from the VFB as far as I know.

Try making the Decal a child of the original mesh and then make that the instance. This method is certainly working here. :)

Hi there, are you able to share the crash report if one get's generated? Or perhaps a video of this happening? Is there a reason why you send it to the PV rather than the VFB? The last point is merely out of curiosity. Thanks.
