I suddenly have a problem when I render animations on the renderfarm. (Ranch Computing, where I have now rendered more than 2000 jobs without this problem).

I have selected PNG with alpha channel as the output file. Multi-pass rendering is NOT switched on. But I still get PSD files in addition to the PNG files, which I don't want at all.

Ranch-Support told me that I have to check the Multi-pass checkbox (A) in Corona Multi-Pass once. Then the Multi-Pass Image options become visible (B) in the Save area of the Corona Render Settings. Here I can now uncheck the Save box (C). Then I can uncheck Enbl (A) in the Corona Multi-Pass again.

Is it possible to deactivate the saving of multi-pass images (C) by default?

I have replaced a lot of materials with new ones. The old materials are deleted and not in the scene anymore.
When I now render via TeamRender I got an error because of missing maps from the old materials, e.g.:

Asset Error
MetalAluminumScratched004_NRM16_4K_METALNESS.tif (Corona Node Materials Hooks)


How can I get rid of these unused "Corona Node Materials Hooks"?

Please have a look at the attached picture which show the kind of problem with corona object motion blur on render instances.

3 years ago I gave up my own small render farm and since then I only use external render farms instead. Now the question arises where I can render my animations with the latest build of Corona.

So I ask the guys from ranchcomputing (www.ranchcomputing.com) what their plans are to update corona on their farm.

To my surprise, due to my request, the latest version was installed the next day and I was informed by mail. I could already render the first test animations.

How cool is that?

BTW, I am a normal customer at ranchcomputing. But I thought, I can also pass on positive experiences.

TomG had once made a call to ask questions to the programmers. Then, however, the topic was stopped because of allegedly too little interest. But when I see that the thread was called 1.404 times, it seems to me that there is a lot of interest.

So please finally get started and do a series about our heroes on the keyboards!

I'm still quite new here (I discovered Corona 2 weeks ago and I'm already addicted.) And I would be very curious about the geniuses who build this great renderer for Cinema 4D.

So how do you get a job as a programmer for Corona? What did you do before? Was it a coincidence or a planned career?

I'd also like to know what a working day looks like for a programmer like you. How do you prioritize? How are the tasks distributed? Where do you get your feedback from (only Corona forum or others?)

And don't be so shy. You can do better than just answering questions. Tell us something about you what you think, we need to know!

It would be great if there is a series about everyone involved.

I had problems with characters and the interactive renderer in one of my scenes. So I built a very small scene that can be quickly calculated with the interactive renderer.

As soon as I add a character to this scene, the IR renderer doesn't work anymore. It only switches between "parsing scene" and "preparing geometry".

Sorry that I still use the old release version, but I have to wait until the render farms have installed the latest version.

I tested a R20 geometry from the content browser and had some different outcome, depending on what type of rendering I used.

I need a material that reflects the objects in the scene, but not the environment map.

Can someone please give me a hint in which direction I need to think?
