Hello!

I'm trying to create a shader that simulates glitter effects. In mental ray I would use a car paint material, but any idea how to get it in corona?

Some examples of the effect I'd like to get:

Thanks :)

But it also definitely needs a bump map so that the flakes reflect light in different directions. This gives the "sparkling" effect.

Thanks to all!
What I'm doing is using the same map (is a custom map, like a speckle) for reflection color and glossiness. The bump advice was perfect, I'm getting closer to what I'm looking for!

Here's my attempt.
For such effects would be nice to have ability to disable bump mapping affects on diffuse shading, like it's possible in Mental Ray.

I thought exactly the same when trying it.

A car paint flakes material isquite easy to create: all you need is 1. a material with a noisy normal map for getting this very small planar flakes pointing in all directions, receiving those sparkling highlights plus a second material layer for the clear paint coat over it. Not at work now, so can't provide examples.
