Do you have any suggestions on how to create a wreath model like this?

I attempted to use the particle view, but I couldn't locate the circular option. If anyone has any ideas on how to create it, please share.

My solution is to model a bunch of different branches and distribute it over a spline. You can use Chaos Scatter on spline. I'm on C4D, in my world there is C4D cloner object also fine for this purpose.
No time to share an example, hope this helps.

It might be an overkill, but how about:
spline made from 3 circles > one larger circle > Loft compound object > twist

Then scatter some branches on it. :)

Unless you need very specifically looking Christmas wreath, i would look at 3D stock marketplaces for a ready to use model - there are tons and tons of Christmas models out there and the number is getting only bigger before each Holiday season :]

Get the different type of branches.
Create a plane, long enough, and scatter/place the branches on it.
Then bend it or path deform it into a circle. This is important to create the "flow" of the branches. This way should work for any type of wreath, crown, laurel etc.

Thanks a bunch for your helpful responses! I'm diving into chaos scatter, but I'm wondering how to create that awesome circular branching effect shown in the attached image. Any friendly tips or guidance would be fantastic!

Hi,

This is not the "perfect model" as it is done in 10 minutes, but the scene attached has all the parts and systems of modeling.
You can have a look and understand it better. Simply 3ds Max tools like Array, Twist and Bend are used, no complicated things (which can actually make it better though).

Hope this helps.
