Daily builds have been running fine - but latest RC build causes C4D to crash on splashscreen.

Reinstalled previous (non-RC) build and all good - so definitely something weird with latest version.

Sorry, but we'll need a lot more info in order to investigate - what OS version, what C4D version, what were you doing at the time (steps that we can follow), was there an error message, is it one scene or all scenes?

Tom - here you go - just launching C4D - not doing anything.

MacOS Ventura 13.4, M1Max MacBook Pro, 64GB RAM
C4D 2023.2.1

C4D quits to bugreport (attached previously) - suggests the Corona plugin is the bit that was upset.

Cheers

For context - C4D was working fine. Installed latest RC build to test - C4D crashes after that. Reinstalled previous build - all good again. Cheers!

Hi Phil,

Can you tell us which version you rolled back to? Was it this one ''Corona 10 for Cinema 4D (Daily Build 2023-05-30)''? Also, as it is crashing on the splash screen, it might be a corrupt plugin that is doing this? Are you able to test it again and make a note of where exactly it is crashing during the splash screen sequence? Many thanks ;)

Yep reinstalled the RC1 build - crashes on last stage of plugin loading (screenshot attached).

And Yes, just installed Daily Build 2023-05-30 again - and back to working...

Is there any report that shows if its a clash with another plugin?

Like when the versions of QT were clashing with Redshift's?

Not that I'm aware of. I could only suggest removing all the plugins and add them back one by one to see which one is triggering the crash. I had a similar issue just like this last year and doing this method easily found the culprit which fortunately, wasn't Corona. I hope the same can be said for you. Please keep us posted if you can.
