Ive been trying to fix the dark bars problem on my dr setup for at least 4 months now and still theres been no real fix and im now 90% sure its down to the dr server not understanding the drive paths on the blade servers. They are mapped with the same name and drive letter and yet the debug exrs are missing the maps ive also tried resolving maps to UNC but it doesnt actually seem to do anything. Is this going to be fixed in the next release? Because ive tried all the fixes posted here over the last few months and both mental ray and vray fork fine on the same file so its definitely a DR Server problem if im not mistaken?

Id appreciate any and all recommendations/help/options anyone knows of that could solve this problem.

Thanks
Jack

have you tried the latest daily? It reports missing files from slaves, so you will see if this causes the problem.

Are you using any Xref objects in your scene?

For max2014 take files from max2013 folder. It works fine.

Ive installed the latest daily and the latest DR and all the nodes are failing. Do i need to change the filename from 2013 to 2014?

No, but it is best to use the uninstaller first, and then install the new version.

I think there is some kind of misunderstanding here as I am confused too.

What I meant was that you should not have both xxxx2014 and xxxx2013 files in your Max directories. This could probably cause some problems.

Ok so what I did was download the 2013 files from yesterdays daily. I put them in the respective folders and deleted the old 2014 ones renaming the new 2013 ones to 2014. Is that OK so far? Then corona runs fine in max but now max doeant launch on the nodes. It just hangs on the console window saying starting 3dsmax Dr. Do I need to have the latest Dr server on the local machine aswell? Does it makeba difference?
