Hi guys. We currently own 7 corona license. My concern with latest 1.6 is it kept crashing when native 3D max light is applied to render with a texture.
Case in point for example, in creating fake caustic with caustic texture .
Example attached renders achieved with corona 1.5, successful to render. I.e. Native 3D max with applied caustic jpg pattern.

Seems to crashed with all our 7 licence.
Anyway , thanks for listening. Good job on these amazing engine all this while.

hi, can you post the scene and/or minidump of the crash (see my sig)?

Hi ondra. The scene is super huge. I will try send u soon with similar smaller scene I.e. with a pool view with similar native 3D max native light with projected caustic textures to create fake caustic effects. Same crashing happening achieving this.

hi guys/ondra,  turns our the crashes happen when i am using DR server (corona 1.6 hotfix)
anyhow, please find some crashes/ unsuccessful rendering thru corona 1.6 DR server experience:

-weird banding/ghosting issues in rendering in the vfb window/render passes/render elements.
-mix results with rendering with native 3D max light with texture. : crashes
-there is 50-50 chances of interactive rendering/lightmixer play rendered with DR server. sometimes it work sometimes it doesnt.
-"handshake issues" warning
-tasked b

please find attach some of the screenshots.
thank u so much for listening & keep up the good work.

...and i really really appreciate if the LIGHTMIXER button and RENDER button is far apart so no clumsy accidents can happen after long hours of rendering.

Thank you with a cherry on top!

-"handshake issues" warning

This weird error sometimes appeared when DR server was incorrectly installed. Could you try reinstalling Corona on the slave? Let me know if it helps.

Could you please send us a scene that's causing the crashes? I didn't manage to reproduce it.

hi sevecek.
sorry for the delay in replying. and thanks for hearing me out.

sorry the file is huuuge tu send... any chance u can test with a native 3dmax light, and added texture / jpg. image as its projection. (corona light as the shadow.)
try it in  a big scene maybe and multiply the lights by 10 or more numbers? then hit render with DR server?

kinda narrowing it down to this as the main culprit of the crash during network renders...

we still cannot reproduce the crash, but we can reproduce the bitmap not rendering on slaves. We will fix that in 1.7. Can you send us at least minidumps of any crashes you encounter, so we can fix at least those in time for 1.6 release?

Hi, is there any progress on getting the minidump? We're pretty close to 1.6 release and since we can't reproduce this issue we can't fix the crashes without the minidump. Thanks!

we cannot reproduce this and dont have minidump, closing this down. Feel free to reopen if you have a crash minidump for us from 1.6 version
